Peace of the Earth Farm (POTE)

Peace of the Earth Farm cultivates vegetables, herbs, and flowers using organic methods (not yet certified). We value fresh food, high crop diversity, community interaction, health of the "agro-ecosystem", and sustainable, organic methods of farming. We believe that our local community will benefit greatly from the cycle of local dollars to local food.

A quick correction:

Hi all, I just realized that I called the "guard" leaf on my tomato trellising blog the "ground". Guard I believe is the correct term and not ground. I got in the habit once of calling it the ground and you know how habits are. Also, figure two is pretty much how the plant should look when you're done pruning... the light grayish leaves in the figure represent what will be cut. In reality you'll most likely cut A LOT more leaves then that. I simplified it for the figure so it would be more clear.

  1. Everything looks so wonderful this week. Have decided to do kale and tomatoes and asiago cheese on pasta tonight.
Also, I'm going to forward your blogspot to Amy. I think she may be in England, but that won't keep her off the internet. She'll love what you're doing.
Oh, and I plan some sleepy-time tea tonight.
